Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani's 'Shershaah' Screened At First Himalayan Film Festival

'Shershaah' actor Sidharth Malhotra and director Vishnuvardhan attended the opening ceremony of Himalayan Film Festival.

Leh: Bollywood actor Sidharth Shukla, who is basking in the success of ‘Shershaah’, attended the screening of the war drama at the first Himalayan Film Festival in Ladakh. The ‘Student Of The Year’ star took to social media to share photos from the event and thank Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, who inaugurated the film festival.

‘Shershaah’, which also starred Kiara Advani, was the first movie to be screened at the Himalayan Film Festival. Sidharth penned a post to inform his fans about the same.

The ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ actor expressed his happiness over attending the film festival. He wrote, “Inaugurated the 1st Himalayan Film Festival with 'Shershaah' today. It was a complete honour to have shared the stage with our honorable Union Minister for I&B, Mr. Anurag Thakur. Thank you for having us.”

Earlier in the day, Sidharth posted a photo from Leh along with the caption, "The earth has music for those who listen - William Shakespeare."

'Shershaah', which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, showcased the story of Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra. Batra, fondly known as Kargil hero, was martyred during the Indo-Pak war in 1999. The Vishnuvardhan directorial earned critical acclaim upon its release on the leading OTT platform on August 12.

Sidharth and Kiara’s sizzling chemistry and music of the film managed to strike a chord with the audience. Last month, Amazon Prime Video issued a statement to announce that ‘Shershaah’ emerged as the most-watched Hindi film on its platform.
