Shilpa Shirodkar Receives COVID-19 Vaccine In Dubai, Says 'I Have No Side Effects Till Now'

Shilpa Shirodkar, who became the first Bollywood star to get Coronavirus vaccine, has revealed that her husband and daughter will also follow her footsteps.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar grabbed several eyeballs when she revealed that she has received the COVID-19 vaccine. The 'Gopi Kishan' actress, who lives in Dubai, shared a picture on her official Instagram handle to inform the fans about her vaccination. Shilpa sported a face mask and small bandage on her arm while posing for the camera. Her post created buzz on social media as she became the first B-town celebrity to receive the Coronavirus vaccine. The new normal... here I come 2021. Thank you, UAE." For the uninitiated, Dubai started its COVID-19 vaccination program in the last week of December 2020.
Shilpa, while talking to an entertainment portal, revealed that she took a Chinese vaccine named Sinopharm. The popular 90s actress added that she was administered her first dose on Tuesday (January 6). Shirodkar further told the portal that she had no side effects after receiving the vaccine for the deadly virus. "I’ve had absolutely no side effects. I am so glad I took the initiative. I thought about it before taking the vaccine. I won’t pretend that I didn’t have my reservations and fears. But once I made up my mind, I just drove down with a close friend who also wanted to take the vaccine. My staff also went for it," Shilpa Shirodkar told SpotboyE. On the professional front, Shilpa Shirodkar was last seen in the TV show 'Savitri Devi College & Hospital', which went off air in 2018. She made her Bollywood debut with Ramesh Sippy’s ‘Bhrastachar’ in 1989. The actress has featured in movies like ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Pehchaan’ and ‘Mrityudand’, to name a few. The beautiful actress tied the knot with UK based banker Aparesh Ranjit in 2000. They have a daughter together. Shilpa revealed that her hubby and daughter have also decided to follow her footsteps and take the vaccine. "On 16th January, India takes a landmark step forward in fighting COVID-19. Starting that day, India’s nation-wide vaccination drive begins. Priority will be given to our brave doctors, healthcare workers, frontline workers including Safai Karamcharis," PM Modi's tweet read. Watch this space for more updates!
