Meanwhile, Shahid's recently released series on Amazon Prime 'Farzi' has been garnering a lot of appreciation. In an interaction with ETimes, Shahid shared, “Farzi is definitely something that I am very, very excited about. Right from the onset it sounded like it could be something very special. I mean, Raj and DK actually reached out to me for a movie and I asked them, do you have a show? And they were very surprised that I was wanting to do something on the digital platform because I just had Kabir Singh and so everybody thought maybe he just wants to do movies. And I don't really subscribe to conventions."

"I like to do what instinctively I feel like doing and I myself have become an avid watcher of content on the digital platform. And I was craving to try something long format, which challenges me to play a character over six hours of screen time as opposed to maybe two hours in a movie. And I had watched so many shows which I had binge watched and I was hooked on to them and they were a huge part of my consumption.” Shahid added.
