The Raj Mehta film starring Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty has opened to poor reviews and low ticket sales.
New Delhi: The Raj Mehta film starring Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty has opened to poor reviews and low ticket sales. Akshay's first release of the year has opened to shockingly low figures. The movie's ticket sales didn't take off either the day it was released or in advance.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Selfiee’ only managed to rake in a total of Rs 2.55 Cr. He wrote, "Selfiee has a disastrous Day 1… Sends shock waves throughout the industry… One of the lowest starts for a film that has several prominent names attached to it… Fri ₹ 2.55 cr+."

Based on its low performance at the box office, it's safe to assume that ‘Selfiee’ won't be able to achieve a decent box office total by the conclusion of its theatrical run.

‘Selfiee’ has an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Emran Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. Akshay plays a 'superstar,' while Emraan Hashmi is both his greatest fan and a police officer in this action-comedy.
The action drama starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi premiered on February 24. 'Selfiee', a Raj Mehta-directed movie, is the official Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam movie Driving License. The lead actors in the movie were Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
As per our in-house review of the movie: 'Selfiee' is nevertheless watchable among the recent Bollywood offerings, despite the fact that it struggles to engage its audience due to the absence of irony in comparison to the original film. People who can particularly watch this comedy drama are die-hard Akshay fans, folks who haven't seen the Malayalam movie and those who don't have any (better) plans for this weekend.
