Satyaprem Ki Katha Box Office Collection Day 6: Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani Starrer Inches Towards Rs 50 Crore

New Delhi: 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, garnered rave reviews, but its box office numbers have been poor this week. The movie only made barely any revenue on Tuesday with collections of about Rs 4.2 crore nett, despite positive word of mouth. 

'Satyaprem Ki Katha' brought in approximately Rs 4.2 crore on Tuesday, roughly on par with what it had made on Monday, according to a report on Sacnilk.com. The movie opened to a solid Rs 9.25 crore on Thursday before going on to earn Rs 12.15 crore on Sunday. Currently, it has a six-day total net collection of about Rs 46.91 crore.

The film review on ABP Live reads: 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani is a confused mix of a commercial entertainer and a social-message film which tries too hard to do justice to each of these genres. The Sameer Vidwans directorial begins with a promise of being a no-pretense entertainer when Kartik begins to dance at the beginning of the film in the opening credits song,10 minutes later into Kiara Advani's introduction song and 45 minutes into the film, in the wedding song. 

Recently, Kiara Advani wrote a note to the audience in gratitude for their support. On Instagram, she wrote: "Today what has truly touched me is seeing my fans rejoice with all the reviews coming my way..they have rooted for me since the very beginning and seeing them feel a sense of victory has made me really emotional, I owed it to them, it has taken me some time, but here we are finally! It is their success. This love is genuinely magical. #JustGreatful."

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film also stars Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Shikha Talsania, and Rajpal Yadav.
