On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter and shared a picture of Sardar Patel.
New Delhi: The country celebrates the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today, who served as the First Deputy Prime Minister of India. He was an Indian barrister and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress. Vallabhbhai Patel played a vital role in India’s struggle for independence and guided its integration into a united and independent nation.

On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to her Twitter and shared a picture of Sardar Patel claiming that the latter sacrificed his most deserving position as the first Prime Minister of India just to please Gandhi. The ‘Tejas’ actress further added that this led the nation to suffer for decades.
Kangana Ranaut’s tweet read, “He sacrificed his most deserving and elected position as the First Prime Minister of India just to please Gandhi because he felt Nehru spoke better English, #SardarVallabhbhaiPatel did not suffer but Nation suffered for decades, we must shamelessly snatch what is rightfully ours.”
She added, “He is the real Iron Man of India, I do believe Gandhi ji wanted a weaker mind like Nehru that he could control and run the nation by keeping him in the forefront, that was a good plan but what happened after Gandhi got killed was a big disaster #SardarVallabhbhaiPatel”
“Wishing India’s Iron man #SardarVallabhbhaiPatel a happy anniversary, you are the man who gave us today’s akhand Bharat but you took your great leadership and vision away from us by sacrificing your position as a Prime Minister. We deeply regret your decision”, the ‘Queen’ actress concluded her tweet.
Sardar Patel also acted as the Home Minister during the political integration of India and the Indo-Pakistan War of 1947. Also known as the ‘Unifier of India’, the world’s tallest statue which goes by the name ‘Statue of Unity’ has been dedicated to him on October 31, 2018. The statue stands tall with an approximate height of 182 metres.
