Salman Khan Asks Fans Not To Indulge In Piracy After ‘Radhe’ Gets Leaked Online, Says Cyber Cell Will Take Action Against Culprits

Salman Khan urged the fans to not watch 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' on pirated sites and said that Cyber Cell is taking action against such sites, who streamed the film.

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan again requested his fans to not watch his recent film ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ on pirated sites. The ‘Bharat’ actor shared a post to inform that Cyber Cell is taking action against the illegal pirated sites which are streaming his film. The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor warned the people to not resort to piracy and said that the Cyber Cell will also take action against them.

Salman was forced to share the post after his Eid 2021 film was leaked online on Telegram and Tamilrockers within few hours of release. He stressed the fact the makers offered ‘Radhe’ at a reasonable price but many people chose to stream it on illegal platforms, causing losses to the producers.

“We offered you to watch our film Radhe at a reasonable price of INR 249 Per View. In spite of that Pirated sites are streaming Radhe illegally which is a serious crime. Cyber Cell is taking action against all these illegal pirated sites. Please don’t participate in piracy or the Cyber Cell will take action against you as well. Please understand you will get into a lot of trouble with the Cyber cell,” the ‘Sultan’ actor said in his post.

Ahead of the release of ‘Radhe’, Salman had urged his followers to watch the film on ZEEPlex and DTH operators and not endorse piracy. His request went in vain as the much-awaited film was leaked online.

‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ has been heavily panned upon its release on May 13. The film received scathing reviews from the critics and audience on social media. Fans have expressed their displeasure over the storyline, lazy writing, and lack of new flavour in the action drama.

‘Radhe’, which has been directed by Prabhu Deva, has become Salman’s lowest-rated film on IMDb. The current rating of the film on IMDb stands at 1.9.

Despite the poor reviews, the film has managed to register a phenomenal opening on the first day. It garnered over 4.2 million views across different platforms on Thursday (May 13), the makers said in a statement.

Salman thanked the fans for their love and support and said that the industry would not survive without them.

‘Radhe’, co-starring Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff, was originally slated to hit the silver screens on Eid 2020; however, it couldn’t release due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The movie couldn’t arrive in the cinema halls on Eid 2021 due to the surge in number of Coronavirus cases in the country.
