Sajid Khan was FIRST CHOICE to play 'Circuit' in 'Munnabhai MBBS'!

Yes, the role of 'Circuit' played by Arshad Warsi in the 'Munnabhai' series that gave a new lease of life to the actor's career would have played lucky for Arshad instead if his new claims are to be belived. Sajid Khan was the first choice for the role of 'Circuit' in 'Munnabhai' series. Yes, you heard it right. Sajid Khan, known for his wit and humor was the initial choice for the part of Sanjay Dutt's friend 'Circuit' in this cult series. But, later Arshad got finalised for the role which became a turning point in his career. ‘Munnabhai 3’ to release in 2018, REVEALS Sanjay Dutt on his birthday! In an interview with Bollywood Life Sajid said, "Abbas Tyrewala, who was writing Main Hoon Na at that point for Farah, was my friend and was writing Munnabhai. He had told me, ‘You are perfect for the role and Raju would love to meet you. You should do it.’ Anyway, I was close to Sanju as friends. Then I called up Baba (Sanjay Dutt) and asked him what he thought. He was like, ‘Do it Saju, we will have a rollicking time.’ I was in this dilemma whether I should do it or not. Arshad and Sajid have been friends since they were working as background dancers. Earlier, Filmy Monkey had shared a in which Arshad and Sajid were seen dancing as extras in the film ‘Aaj Se Khelenge’ and the song feature lead pair of the film Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar[Blast from the past VIDEO! Arshad Warsi and Sajid Khan as extra dancers in Jeetendra-Kimi Katkar’s song]. So we know that two go long back in knowing each other and this is how Sajid had reacted in the same interview about Arshad finally getting the role of 'Circuit'... "Then, one day, I realised Arshad got it. And he is damn good in the film. No regrets because Arshad did, probably, a better job than what I could have done because he is a far superior actor than what I am."
