Parineeti Chopra REACTS To Low Box Office Numbers Of 'Saina', Says 'Small Steps...'
Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Saina' has failed to rake in big moolah at the box office. Here's what she has to say about the low earnings of her film!
Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Saina’, which released on March 26, couldn’t perform as per expectations at the box office. While trade pundits expected the sports drama to register a good opening, it scored poor numbers on its first day at the box office. Although, the trailer received an encouraging response, ‘Saina’ failed to record a considerable footfall.
One user pointed out how Parineeti’s recent films ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Saina’ ‘went unnoticed’ due to their release dates and poor marketing strategies. He said that ‘Saina’ could have raked in more moolah if it hit the silver screens on a better date.
Parineeti responded to the tweet and said that she agreed with him on the low box office numbers. The ‘Ishaqzaaade’ actress expressed gratitude towards the critics and audience and said that she is happy to receive love from them despite the fact that her films released amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Agree about the BO numbers, but I am grateful that despite releasing our films during the pandemic, we have won the love of critics and audiences in such a hugeee way! Small steps, but the journey back has started,” Parineeti wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Parineeti played the role of Indian Badminton player Saina Nehwal in Amole Gupte’s ‘Saina’. She received praises from the audience and critics for her performance in the film.
The ‘Suddh Desi Romance’ actress was also seen in ‘The Girl On The Train’, which premiered directly on Netflix on February 26. Parineeti, who is known for her acting prowess, has been appreciated for playing different roles in her recent films.
