Karan Johar Shares A 'Long Emo Post' As Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Crosses Rs 200 Crore Worldwide

New Delhi: Karan Johar’s directorial return ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ quickly gets into the 200-crore club worldwide. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh play key roles in the movie. In India alone, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has earned over 100 crores, while it has earned over Rs. 200 crores throughout the globe. In the wake of this fantastic news, the director wrote a heartfelt and lengthy statement in which he thanked everyone involved. 

Karan Johar, while thanking the film's actors and crew for their hard work, said that he was so nervous before the movie's premiere that he almost passed out.

He warned his fans about the ‘long emo post’ in the beginning of his note. Karan wrote, “Before this film's release, I found myself on the verge of collapse, often feeling the need for an IV drip! I questioned whether it was due to the 7-year hiatus, the accumulated anxiety of the past 3 years, or the uncertain state of the box office. Whatever the underlying cause, I was undeniably overwhelmed! However, on Friday, the 28th of July, all I felt was thankfulness, validation, and unadulterated joy. This film is undoubtedly the result of collective team spirit and affection."

The director also talked about Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. He wrote, “To Rocky & Rani, a distinct letter of affection awaits you, one I aspire to compose. Yet, I wish to express that you both stand as irreplaceable pillars of this 'prem kahaani' (love story). It is not solely the film's shaping that you impacted, but also the vigor you infused in me through your affection. My affection for both of you knows no bounds, and I anticipate and hope for the opportunity to collaborate with you once more in the near future.”

Due to two major releases (OMG 2 and Gadar 2) coming this Friday, it seems that Karan Johar's film may suffer a loss. As of now, the romantic drama is attracting a lot of viewers to the theatres.
