RIP Sujata Kumar: Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta & other Bollywood celebs mourn her death
Bollywood and Television actress Sujata Kumar, who played the role of late Sridevi’s sister in ‘English Vinglish’, breathed her last on Sunday night. Sujata’s sister Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter to inform that the ‘Raanjhanaa’ actress left for her heavenly abode after battling cancer. Sujata was diagnosed with fourth stage metastatic cancer (metastasis) and her sister Suchitra had requested the fans to pray for her health as she was admitted to ICU. Her sudden demise has come as shocker to the industry and fans. Sonam Kapoor, who worked with Sujata in her film 'Raanjhanaa', took to Twitter to mourn the actress's death.
Sujata had played the role of a corrupted chief minister in the Aanand L Rai directorial, who schemed againt Kundan (Dhanush).
The ‘Veer Di Wedding’ actress wrote, ‘’Rest in peace Sujata ma’am. Love and respect to your family.’’
'Fanney Khan' actress Divya Dutta expressed her condolences and said that Sujata played her mother-in-law in a show. ''Am so so sorry to hear that!!! May she Rest In Peace!! Lovely woman. Sujata was a prominent face in Bollywood and television industry. The actress was also seen in Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Guzaarish’, where she essayed the role of a school principal. She also had a small role in Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan’s ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’. She was also part of TV shows like Anil Kapoor's '24', P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke and 'Hotel Kingston'.
