Esha Gupta On 'Humshakals' Failure: 'I Am Not Ashamed Of It'

Esha Gupta opened up about the failure of 'Humshakals', which received scathing reviews from all the corners.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Esha Gupta, who made her debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in ‘Jannat 2’, recently confirmed her relationship with boyfriend Manuel Campos Guallar. The tinsel town diva, known for her stunning looks, created a lot of buzz with her first two films ‘Jannat 2’ and ‘Raaz 3D’ emerging as hits. She later went on to do Sajid Khan’s ‘Humshakals’, which received scathing reviews from the critics and fans. Many movie buffs termed ‘Humshakals’ the worst film of 2014. Esha, while talking to an entertainment portal, revealed that she was affected during the phase when the film flopped badly at the box office. However, she maintained that she is ashamed of doing the comedy drama. The ‘Rustom’ actress further said that one learns from his/her mistakes and this is what she has learned ‘being an athlete’ all her life. "It was a bit of a phase that had affected me because the film had badly flopped, but you learn from everything. The film had released in 2013, but it's still a part of my career, a part of my journey. I'm not ashamed of doing it or any film for that matter. I don't want to say, 'Oh...I wish I didn't do it because everything make you who you are, right? I mean, you learn from your mistakes, you fall and that's what I've learned from being an athlete all my life. The thing is if I’m not first, not second, not third, I'll still be somewhere, and that's what makes you an athlete — it just always give you that hope of you now going to be better. And that's what you need to do — just be better. Just that desire of being a better version of myself has got me this far," Esha told BollywoodLife. ‘Humshakals’ starred Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah in lead roles. Talking about Esha Gupta, the leggy lass recently made her digital debut with ‘Rejctx 2’. The web series is available for streaming on Zee5. She was last seen on the silver screen in ‘One Day: Justice Delivered’.

The actress grabbed a lot of eyeballs when she made her relationship with Spanish boyfriend Manuel official on Instagram. She posted a photo with her beau along with the caption, "Te amo mucho mi amor." Esha’s romantic picture and caption had made the fans go aww. They had flooded the comments section with their congratulatory messages.
