Rashmika is being hailed as the 'national crush' post her role as Srivalli in Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa: The Rise'. The talented actress has carved a niche for herself not only in the south film industry but is also ready to wow the audience with her performance in the Hindi belt as well. Rashmika makes a full-fledged Bollywood debut with 'Goodbye', from doing the dubbing in her own voice to giving interviews in Hindi during the film's promotions and to top it all, she leaves no stone unturned to mesmerise with her impeccable command over the language.
In an exclusive interview with ABP Entertainment Live, Rashmika talks about her rising popularity as an actress, being adept in 6 languages that include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Konkani, Hindi and English and how she, being a dancer since childhood, ended up being an actor.
From making her acting debut with 'Kirik Party' five years ago to bagging some blockbusters and having big-budget films in her kitty, Rashmika has definitely come a long way. For an actor of her caliber, it is surprising to know that she had no intention of pursuing acting as a career after her first film. Talking about how she ventured into the field of entertainment as an actor, Rashmika says, "I always used to participate as a dancer in school functions. During my degree, I got my first break but I always thought that after doing this film, I would return to my studies. But my character from 'Kirik Party' got so much love and recognition from the people that it made me discover my potential as an actor."
Rashmika got her first break after she won a pageant during her college days in 2014.
Talking about her experience of working with superstar Amitabh Bachchan, the actress says, "I came to know about the entire star cast only after I had finished the script and conveyed to Vikas sir that I would like to do the role of Tara. The moment I came to know that Bachchan sir is also going to be a part of the film, my instant reaction to Vikas sir was that he is joking with me."
"It was very intimidating for me to share screen space with one of the most legendary actors, given the fact that I have just started in this field. But yes, it was equally good."
Rashmika shared that she learnt professionalism from Big B, who has a finesse for acting and knows exactly what he wants and how to do it.
While 'Goodbye' is a family drama, the star cast was not like a family to each, in the initial days, Relating an incident that broke the ice between all, Rashmika narrates, "I have a puppy named Aura. She used to accompany me on the film sets as she was very small. One day, she got seriously ill and had to be taken to the hospital. That day, everybody on the set was asking about her and most of them including Vikas sir and Pavail came down with me to the hospital. Even Bachchan sir and Neena ma'am were very concerned. That was the moment when I decided that these people are actually my family."
Rashmika also gave a little insight into the second part of 'Pushpa 2' and said that she is very excited to be back on the sets and reprise her role as 'Srivalli'.
