Rashmika Mandanna Is Glad She Did Not 'Suffer' Alone In Saree During Animal Marriage Sequence: 'Inside I Was Really Happy...'
Recently, Rashmika revisited the shooting sequence in Manali, where Ranbir Kapoor's character and hers got married in the film.
New Delhi: Rashmika Mandanna is basking in the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'. Rashmika played the role of Ranbir Kapoor's love interest Geetanjali in the film. Recently, Rashmika revisited the shooting sequence in Manali, where Ranbir Kapoor's character and hers got married in the film.
In the marriage sequence in ‘Animal’, Rashmika Mandanna like several leading ladies from Bollywood in similar situations wore a simple saree amidst snow-clad mountains.
However, what was different this time was that the hero was also dressed in a simple white kurta pyajama.
In an interaction with We Are Yuvaa, Rashmika recalled her experience filming in the snow while only wearing a saree, and she expressed her happiness that Ranbir and her were both underdressed for the bitter Manali cold.
“Sir (Vanga) wanted it in such a way that these two kids have run away from home and they are getting married in the most bizarre place. Inside, I was really happy that I am not the only one who’s suffering in a saree, you also suffer,” she said.
Rashmika talked about the challenges of filming in the snow for a movie. She added, “When you go on snow, first of all, your skin goes pale. Your makeup artist has to put extra makeup just to make your skin look alive. Because you get ready in the room and you step out and nothing is there. Suddenly they are like, ‘Dude, we did so much makeup inside, what happened to your makeup?’ But you realise that cold has just stopped your blood flow on your face and all of that.”
And the hair, fancy, all sorted and suddenly it goes flat. So, half of the time, you are trying to tong it because you’re like, ‘dude, the hair is not standing.’ It’s chaos, it’s a mess. You’re just like, ‘I am freezing, please give me my jacket,'” the actor added in the same interaction.
Meanwhile, 'Animal' became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023 with a mind-boggling box office collection. It also starred Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol.
