Rajinikanth Film Jailer To Premiere On OTT On The Date SRK's Jawan Releases In Theatres
Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer 'Jawan' will also be released in theatres on the same day.
New Delhi: After creating many box office records, Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer' will now be released on OTT platform. On Saturday, Prime Video said in a statement that the Belson Dilipkumar's crime drama will begin streaming on the platform from September 7. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer 'Jawan' will also be released in theatres on the same day.
Produced by Sun Pictures, 'Jailer' has been written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film features an ensemble cast including Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Bbau, Master Rtivik in pivotal roles.The film also has cameos by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff.
On Prime Video, 'Jailer' will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The film follows the story of a retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandiyan( played by Rajinikanth), who goes on a manhunt to find his son's killers.

At the global box office, 'Jailer' has collected some Rs. 500 cr and more. In India, the film collected Rs. 329 . 83 crores. Rajinikanth's film has become a major success especially since it marked Rajinkanth's return on celluloid after 2 years.
Now, fans are anticipating Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ to break all records this year, including that of ‘Pathaan’, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Jailer’.
