Radhika Apte, Richard Roxburgh To Star In Apple's 'Shantaram'!

The drama follows a man who escaped from an Australian prison looking to get lost in Mumbai.

Washington D.C. [USA]: Radhika Apte is all set to star alongside 'Moulin Rouge!' actor Richard Roxburgh in Apple's upcoming drama series 'Shantaram'. An adaptation of Gregory David Roberts' bestselling novel with the same name, the series is written by Eric Warren Singer, reported Deadline. The drama follows a man who escaped from an Australian prison looking to get lost in Mumbai. Away from his family and friends by distance and fate, he finds a new life in the slums, bars, and underworld of India. It is expected to start production in Australia and India in October with a USD 5 million tax incentive from the Australian government.
