‘My Driver Recognised Me From The Images’: Radhika Apte Opens Up On Leaked Nude Video Clip

The ’Raat Akeli Hai’ actress Radhika Apte also told that when she stripped for ‘Parched’, she realised that there was nothing left for her to hide.

Mumbai: Radhika Apte is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. Starting her career from theatres, she began featuring in movies from the year 2005. Her first leading role came with the 2009 Bengali movie ‘Antaheen’. Radhika has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and English films.

Radhika has portrayed different roles in her career. She is one of the actresses who has portrayed some very difficult and challenging roles on screen. Radhika played the role of a sex worker in one of her films ‘Parched’. While speaking to Grazia, Radhika revealed that she always wanted a role like this and told, “I really needed a role like this because when you’re in Bollywood you’re constantly told what to do with your body and I always maintained that I would never do anything to my body or face.”

She also opened about how badly it affected her when her nude video clip got leaked. Radhika further told, “I really needed a role like this because when you’re in Bollywood you’re constantly told what to do with your body and I always maintained that I would never do anything to my body or face. When a nude clip of mine leaked, while I was filming Clean Shaven, I was trolled badly, and it did affect me. I couldn’t step out of the house for four days, not because of what the media was saying but because my driver, watchman, and my stylist’s driver recognised me from the images.”

The ’Raat Akeli Hai’ actress also told that when she stripped for ‘Parched’, she realised that there was nothing left for her to hide. Apte said, “The controversial photographs were bare-skinned selfies, and anyone with a sane eye would have guessed it wasn’t me. I don't think there is anything one can do, or one should do, but ignore it. Anything else is a waste of your time. So, when I stripped for Parched, I realised: ‘There’s nothing left for me to hide'.”

Meanwhile, speaking on the work front, Radhika Apte was last seen starring in ‘OK Computer’. She also portrayed the role of Radha in ‘Raat Akeli Hai’.
