Popular actress Raai Laxmi, who has worked in several South films, trended on social media after she announced her engagement. She took the internet by storm by announcing that she is getting engaged on April 27, 2021. Without revealing the name of her soon-to-be fiancé, Laxmi said that she has already invitations to their close friends for the engagement ceremony. But guess what? It turned out to be a public service announcement as the ‘Akira’ actress posted the message to request her followers to follow proper sensitisation to keep COVID-19 at bay. Fans, who didn’t read the whole message, couldn’t control their excitement as they believed their favorite star would get engaged. The tinsel town diva put the important message in an innovative way as it managed to capture the attention of the Twitter users.
"Okay since lots of people have been asking me questions from quite a long time so I decided to address this issue. First of all I'm not hiding my relationship I don't think it's anyone's business plus, I need some privacy and to protect the well-being of my partner. Yes we have sent invitations to close friends last week we are getting engaged on April 27, 2021. It happened unexpectedly but my family is really happy about it so I Am and can't wait to be with the love of my life I stole this post from someone just to remind you that wash your hands properly and use sanitiser when necessary,” Rai’s post read.
Raai had to share another post to clarify that she was not getting engaged after the rumours of her engagement spread like wildfire. She expressed disappointment on social media, pointing out how people chose to not read the last ‘important’ lines of her message.
"To my dear media, fans and well wishers, this is to clarify there's a piece of news doinf rounds all over the media about me getting engaged. I had posted a funny message on my social media platform couple of days ago where the last few lines was the most important message to read which talks about being safe and sanitizing your hands. This clearly shows people don't have the patience to read the whole message, so please do not fall for such baseless rumours that are taken in the media about the engagement," she wrote.
On the professional front, Raai Laxmi was last seen in ZEE5’s ‘Poison’. She has several exciting projects in her kitty including 'Cinderella', 'Anandha Bhairav' and 'Ottakkomban'.
