Priyanka Chopra to be paid WHOPPING amount for Bharat; JOINS Deepika Padukone in highest paid actress club

New Delhi: International star Priyanka Chopra, who is currently winning hearts as ‘Alex Parish’ in hit Americian TV show ‘Quantico 3’, is  all set to return to her home turf with Salman Khan’s Bharat. Even before PeeCee begins shooting for the Ali Abbas Zafar direcotorial, she has entered the club of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood. Grapevines have buzzing with the rumours that the Piggy Chops is charging a whopping amount for the much-awaited film. A report in Mid-Day suggested that the global icon is being paid Rs 12 crore for her comeback film opposite Bharat.  This puts the Fashion actress at par with Deepika Padukone, who reportedly charged around Rs 12-13 crore for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Padmaavat'. The report in the daily also said that Priyanka’s team had quoted an amount of Rs 14 crore for Bharat, considering her current market rate. Keeping in mind the industry standards, the two sides settled for Rs 12 crore, making the Baywatch star one of the highest paid actresses in tinsel town. Bharat, which also stars Tabu and Disha Patani, will hit the silver screens on Eid 2019.
Both Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have openly advocated for pay equality in the Hindi film industry. Interestingly, Deepika was rumoured to be paid higher than Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the epic drama 'Padmaavat'. Also Read: Deepika, Priyanka neck-to-neck on Instagram! Priyanka Chopra has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs, all thanks to her alleged love-affair with Nick Jonas. The former Miss World attended Nick's cousin Rachel Tamburelli's wedding, adding fuel to their to rumours of their relationship. The two celebrities were recently spotted on a lunch date, much to the joy of the fans.
