Price I Pay For Being A Celebrity: Hansika Motwani Talks About Allegation Of Breaking Her Husband's First Marriage
Hansika Motwani reacts to several claims made against around the time of the wedding.
New Delhi: The reality show 'Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama' starring Hansika Motwani shows how the actor and her family prepared for the nuptials. In the most recent episode of Disney+ Hotstar show, Hansika also reacted to several claims made against her and her husband Sohael Khaturiya around the time of the wedding.
Social media users started talking about Sohael's first marriage to a woman named Rinky not long after Hansika revealed that she was engaged to Sohael. The actor, who reportedly attended their wedding a few years ago, and Rinky are said to have been been best friends.
As word of this spread on social media and later on news websites, Hansika began to receive a lot of trolling for 'stealing' her best friend's husband. People constantly accused her of breaking into Rinky's home in all of her social media posts.
Hansika and Sohael reacted to the reports in the last few moments of the first episode of Love Shaadi Drama. Hansika enters her trailer after wrapping up the day's filming and sees all the headlines about her and Sohael and how she is being held accountable.
“The news that I was previously married came out and it came out in a wrong light. It came out as if the breakup was because of Hansika, which is absolutely untrue and baseless,” Sohael said.
“Just because I knew the person at that time doesn't mean it was my fault. I have nothing to do with this. Because I am a public figure, it was very easy for people to point at me and make me the villain. This was a price I pay for being a celebrity,” Hansika adds.
“I was first married in 2014 and that marriage lasted for a very short time. But just because we have been friends and someone saw pictures of her attending my wedding, is why this speculation started," Sohael continued.
Meanwhile, 'Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama' airs every Friday on Disney+ Hotstar.
