Palak Tiwari Recalls Salman Khan's Rule On Set For Women: 'All The Girls On Set, Neckline Should Be'
Actor Shweta Tiwari's daughter Palak Tiwari will soon be making her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan starrer 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'
New Delhi: Actor Shweta Tiwari's daughter Palak Tiwari will soon be making her Bollywood debut with 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'. Recently, Palak sat down to talk about what it was like working with megastar Salman Khan. Palak already has some industry experience having starred in the Harrdy Sandhu's hit track 'Bijlee Bijlee' besides also assisting on Salman's film 'Antim'.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Palak shared that she had also assisted on Salman Khan's film 'Antim: The Final Truth'. She revealed that Salman Khan had one rule for all the female crew members and nobody was more pleased about it than her mother. When asked if her mother cried when Palak first revealed to her that Palak had been cast in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', she said, "My mother didn’t cry, and that’s the good thing. She was very calm, because she knew I’d be on Salman sir’s set. She was tranquil. You know, there’s a very funny story. She has been very happy with Salman sir, because, like every desi mother ever, she has always been very critical of what I wear. When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, Salman sir had a rule: ‘every girl on my set, the neckline should be here, all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’.”
Palak recalled that when her mother would see her going to work fully covered up,she became suspicious. "He’s a traditionalist. Of course, he’s like, ‘Jo pehenna hai pehno,’(wear what you like) but he’s also like my girls should always be protected. If there are men around who he doesn’t personally know, it’s not his personal space where he doesn’t trust everyone, he’s like, the girl should be safe, always,” she said.
When Siddharth asked if Salman Khan had personally called her for the role, Palak replied in the affirmative. The young actor also added that Salman sir has that tough image on the outside, otherwise he is very sweet and gentle with girls especially. She also shared that he was quite sweet with her over the phone when he offered her the role of Muskaan.
Directed by Farhad Samji, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' also stras Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Ragahv Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Vijender Singh, Jassie Gill, Venkatesh Daggubati among others. The film is slated to be released on April 21, 2023.
