Actor Manoj Bajpayee who recently expressed his displeasure over the Filmfare 2019 nominations list that didn't include his acclaimed movie Gali Guleiyan was conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award on Saturday. The national-award winning actor received the prestigious award from President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan today.

This year, 112 personalities were selected for the Padma awards, which was announced on the eve of Republic Day. The first set of padma award was given on 11th of this month in which President Kovind had presented one Padma Vibhushan, eight Padma Bhushan and forty-six Padma Shri Awards. 64th Filmfare Awards 2019 : Manoj Bajpayee rues discrimination in mainstream awards The honourable president conferred the remaining Padma awards at a civil investiture ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan today.
