Himansh Kohli Tests Positive For COVID-19; Says 'Family Showing Signs Of Recovery After Contracting Virus'

Himansh Kohli's family members had tested positive for novel Coronavirus last week. The actor underwent a COVID-19 test and the results came out as positive.

Actor Himansh Kohli, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Yaariyan’, has tested positive for COVID-19. We had earlier informed you that Himansh’s father, mother and sister had tested positive for the virus. The talented actor took to social media to inform his fans that his family members have started showing signs of recovery while he has tested positive for novel Coronavirus. Himansh said that he started showing symptoms of COVID-19 while taking care of his parents and sister. He added that he immediately got tested and the results came out as positive. The actor further said that he is on bed rest for the next two weeks. He also asked his followers to take all precautionary measures and avoid all the ‘bogus stigmas’ attached to the disease. “I have tested positive for #Covid19 and I’m on complete bed rest for the next 2 weeks. Please don’t be careless about prevention, you’ll wish every second that you weren’t infected. Please take care of yourselves and your family and avoid all bogus stigmas attached to the disease,” Kohli captioned the post while sharing his statement on Instagram. The 30-year-actor asked his fans to not take COVID-19 lightly and suggested them to 'do everything in their power' to safeguard themselves from the virus. A lot of times, we think we have the best immunity, nothing can happen to us, we are a fighter, etc. and we think we are taking all precautions at a pro-level. While looking after my parents and sister, I started showing symptoms too and when I got checked for Covid-19 yesterday, I tested positive. I don’t want to scare you all since the recovery rate is extremely high. But, all I want to tell everyone is that everybody reacts to this virus in a different way. In fact, all 4 of us in the family have visibly different symptoms and effects caused due to the virus. So, don’t take it lightly and do everything in your power to safeguard yourself from it. I pray that it never reaches anyone of you, but, please be prepared, cause it can come from anywhere, and at anytime,” Himansh's statement read.
