National Film Awards 2019 announced on Friday. Here Are The Winners Of The 66th National Film Awards
The winners of the prestigious national film awards are announced on Friday. Every year the winners of the awards are announced in April and the presentation ceremony is held on May 3, which is when India's first feature film is said to have its theatrical release in 1913. However, in April the ministry announced that the National Film Awards will be declared after the Lok Sabha elections.
Here is the list of the winners this year:
Best Actor: Ayushmann Khurrana(Andhadhun) and Vicky Kaushal (Uri - The Surgical Strike)
Best Actress: Keerthi Suresh(Telugu film 'Mahanati')
Best Hindi Film: Andhadhun
Best Director: Aditya Dhar(Uri)
Best Music Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Padmaavat)
Best Choreographer: Kruti Mahesh Midya for 'Ghoomar'
Best Child Artist:
1. P V Rohith for Ondalla Eradalla(Kannada)
2. Sameep Singh for Harjeeta(Punjabi)
3. Talha Arshad Reshi for Hamid(Urdu)
4. Shrinivas Pokale for Naal(Marathi)
Best Costume Design: Telugu film Mahanati
Best Background Music: URI - The Surgical Strike
Best Audiography: Bishwadeep Dipak Chatterjee for 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'
Best Male Playback Singer: Arijit Singh for 'Binte Dil' from 'Padmaavat'
Best Female Playback Singer: Bindu Mani for Mayavi Manave from 'Nathicharami'
Best Special Effects: Awe, KGF
Best Adapted Screenplay: Andhadhun
Best Action: KGF
Best film on social issues: Padman
Best Make-Up: Awe

Soon after the winners were announced, the reactions have begun to pour in.
Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel tweeted: "Meanwhile films that were celebrated at paan elaichi gutka award have been totally snubbed at the National awards, good to see genuine talent getting recognition,mimicry artists glorifying terrorists & Papa Jo’s babies doing below average work have been snubbed.. [clapping hands emojis]very good".Farhan Akhtar also took to social media to congratulate the winners. He wrote: "Congratulations to all recipients of the #NationalAward .. many of them friends and colleagues.. could not be happier for them. Well done.
