On its first day of release, the film grossed Rs 4 crore. The early estimates indicate that the film earned Rs 6.75 crore nett in India on its second day. So far, the film has grossed approximately Rs 10.75 crore nett. 'Munjya' had a 30.99 percent Hindi occupancy rate on Saturday.

'Munjya', which released on Friday, is set in Maharashtra and follows the story of the eponymous mythical creature from the world of Indian belief and cultural system. In the film, the creature clings onto Bittu, who is played by Abhay Verma. Mona stars as Pummy, a single working mother who is too protective of Bittu. The film stars Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
The film is reportedly set in the Maddock Films' horror comedy universe, Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).
