'Let's Not Normalise Misogyny’: Mumbai Police Calls Out Misogynist Scenes From Bollywood Films
In one of their recent tweets, Mumbai Police called out a few Bollywood movie dialogues and urged people to not normalise misogyny.

In one of their recent tweets, Mumbai Police called out a few Bollywood movie dialogues and urged people to not normalise misogyny. In their tweet, Mumbai Police mentioned some dialogues from movies like ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam’ and others.
Sharing the post, Mumbai Police tweeted, “Cinema is a reflection of our society - Here are (just) a few (of many) dialogues both our society & cinema need to reflect upon. Choose your words & actions with care - unless you want the law to intervene! #LetsNotNormaliseMisogyny #MindYourLanguage #WomenSafety”

When a user called out Mumbai Police and asked them to focus more on other problems, Mumbai Police replied in a tweet, “With due respect to the need of addressing the other concerns you mentioned, misogyny seems to be a lesser problem in the nature of comparison you have drawn. Exactly the reason why #LetsNotNormaliseMisogyny needs to be reiterated as many times and in as many ways”.
