Drugs On Cruise Ship Case: No Bail For Aryan Khan, Bombay HC To Hear The Matter Today

Cruise Ship Case: Aryan Khan will have to stay in jail for another night as the hearing for his bail plea has been postponed.

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday (October 27) adjourned the hearing of the bail pleas filed by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaz Seth Merchant in connection with seizure of drugs for Thursday (October 28), a report in ANI said.  The single bench of the Bombay HC will hear the matter at 3pm tomorrow.

The lawyers of Aryan, Munmun and Arbaz have concluded their arguments on their bail applications before Justice N.W. Sambre on Wednesday while Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, who is representing the NCB, will respond to the arguments tomorrow.

Aryan To Spend Another Night In ARCJ

The star kid, who is currently lodged at Mumbai's Arthur Road Central Jail, spent another night in judicial custody as the Bombay High Court will hear NCB's arguments today.

Mukul Rohtagi, who is Aryan Khan's lawyer, made a forceful plea for his bail during the hearing. The former Attorney General of India requested the High Court to go through the arrest momo again, as per ANI. He pointed out that there were no charges of conspiracy at the time of Aryan's arrest in connection with the drugs case.

Munmun Dhamecha's lawyer Kashif Khan Deshmukh, while arguing for her bail, said that she went on the cruise for her professional obligations. "I am a fashion model & do stage shows & ramp walks. I was invited by one person on the cruise for my professional obligations," he was quoted as saying by ANI.

Aryan Khan, Munmum Dhamecha and Arbaz Seth Merchant were among the eight, who were detained and later arrested following NCB's raid on a luxury cruise. The Narcotics Control Bureau had busted an alleged drugs party on a Goa-bound ship on October 2. A Special NDPS Court had rejected Aryan's bail on October 20 in connection with the case following which his judicial custody was extended till October 30.

Khan's lawyer had approached the Bombay High Court for an urgent hearing in the matter.

Last week, the NCB had summoned Bollywood actress Ananya Panday to appear before the officials in connection with the case. The federal agency had conducted a raid at her house on October 21. The officials seized Ananya's mobile phone and laptop. Her name featured in the WhatsApp chats of Aryan, who is one of the accused in the alleged rave party case.
