New Delhi: Bollywood actor Alia Fazal’s mother left for her heavenly abode on Wednesday morning (June 17) in Lucknow. She passed away due to health complications. Ali’s spokesperson released an official statement, which read: “It is with great sorrow we inform you that Ali Fazal’s mother passed away on the morning of June 17, 2020 in Lucknow after quick succession of health complications. Her passing was sudden and we pray for her peace. Ali is grateful for the love and support of his fans in these testing times. A personal loss of this magnitude also needs silence. He requests his fans and the press for some privacy at this point.”

Ali Fazal shared a picture of his mother along with an emotional post. He tweeted, “I’ll live the rest of yours for you. Miss you Amma. Yahi tak thhaa humaara, pata nahi kyun. You were the source of my creativity. My everything. Aagey alfaaz nahi rahe. Love, Ali.”



Several Bollywood celebs including Ali’s girlfriend Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat commented on his post.

Richa, while replying to Ali's picture, wrote,"hang in there... Rest in peace Auntie."



Pulkit, who worked with Ali in 'Fukrey' and 'Fukrey Returns', wrote, "Prayers bhai!! So sorry for your loss!! RIP Auntie."



'Four More Shots Please' actress Sayani Gupta tweeted, "Oh god Ali! So sorry. Big big hug brother!"



Ali Fazal was all set to tie the knot with Richa in April 2020 in Mumbai. The couple had to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. They issued a statement which read, "Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the later half of 2020 tentatively. They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well wishers to be affected."



On the professional front, Ali Fazal has ' Death on the Nile' and 'Mirzapur' in his kitty. He has featured in films like 'Prassthanam', 'Khamoshiyan', 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi' and 'Always Kabhi Kabhi', to name a few.
