New Delhi: As India continues to battle against the spread of Coronavirus, people from all walks of life including Bollywood celebrities have stepped in to contribute. Several tinsel town celebs like Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Kaushal have pledged their support to the PM-CARES Fund.


Ali Fazal, who was last seen in Netflix’s ‘House Arrest’, channeled his inner batman to help the people in need of food and other essential items. Several people, especially daily wage workers, have been badly impacted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The ‘Fukrey’ actor took the initiative of helping them and drove around Mumbai in a Batman mask while listening to old Bollywood songs.

The ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ star shared the video along with the caption, "Jisse darte thhey wohi baat ho gayi!!!! Aahh haa haa haaaaahaaaaaaa...... couldn't muster up the courage to face the wrath outside. Called up the DCs to help out. We've collected some stuff to send to vile parle. Near number 5 petrol pump there are a lot of people in desperate need for food. Music is mine. Any others out there! Keep doing the work..chhota bada doesn't matter."

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha was all set to get married on April 15 in Mumbai but they had to postpone their wedding due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The couple’s spokesperson released an official statement which read, “Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the later half of 2020 tentatively. They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well wishers to be affected.”
