New Delhi: It’s hard to believe that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. Sushant, who made a successful transition from TV to cinema, is still fondly known for playing the role of Manav in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Sushant became a household name with his performance as a simple car mechanic Manav. His chemistry with co-star Ankita Lokhande helped the show in grabbing several eyeballs.


Sushant and Ankita fell in love on the sets of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ but the former couple parted ways in 2016. Their break-up made their fans upset as they were one of the most loved jodis on the small screen.

Ankita visited Sushant’s family members at his Bandra residence on Tuesday afternoon. She looked devastated and was comforted by producer Ssandeep Singh and her mother.

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself at his place on Sunday (June 14). He was battling clinical depression since the past six months. His sudden demise has left the industry and fans in a state of shock. Fans have flooded Instagram and Twitter with their messages for the late actor.

Sushant’s funeral took place at Pawan Hans crematorium, Vile Parle on Monday (June 15). His father and two sisters arrived from Patna to attend his last rites. Bollywood celebs like Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Kriti Sanon, Ekta Kapoor were spotted at his funeral. They paid their last respect to the late actor.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film will be ‘Dil Bechara’, which was slated to hit the silver screens in May 2020. It got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
