New Delhi: Salman Khan Eid’s release for 2023, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, had an excellent Sunday, with the film minting around Rs 26.61 crore, bringing the weekend total to Rs 68.17 crore. The film’s total worldwide collection has reached Rs 112.80 crore gross.
The Farhad Samji directorial had oepened with Rs 15.81 crore, followed by Rs 25.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 26.61 crore on its third day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the weekend collection on Twitter. He wrote, “#KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan packs a solid total in its opening weekend… #SalmanKhan’s star power + #Eid festivities ensured #HouseFull boards across many properties on Sat and Sun… Fri 15.81 cr, Sat 25.75 cr, Sun 26.61 cr. Total: ₹ 68.17 cr. #India biz. The jump on Sat and Sun - in mass circuits specifically - has contributed to a big, fat total… In fact, a major chunk of revenue has come from this sector, which is a good sign since *many films* were struggling to stay afloat in mass pockets this year. The real test for #KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan starts today [Mon]… It’s a wait and watch situation right now! #KBKJ growth / decline… Sat [growth]: 62.87% Sun [growth]: 3.40%.”

The film is doing better in mass circuits than the multiplexes. Despite bad reviews from all quarters, Salman’s fans have proved their loyalty toward the actor by thronging to the theatres on Sat and Sun.
The actor also thanked his fans for their support on Sunday. He posted a picture of himself and wrote, “Thank u for all your love n support . Thank u, really appreciate it #KBKJ”

The film features an ensemble cast including Telugu actor Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.
However, despite an ensemble cast and Salman in the headline, the film got panned by critics and a large section of the audience.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan review
ABP Live’s review of the film reads, “Despite having an impressive cast, the writers scarcely give the characters any soul, leading to a mishmash of characters and flimsy subplots.
The North-meets-South romance barely works due to a handful of amusing moments that naturally fall into place. But for the most part, the narrative's dragged humor makes for some intolerably awful bits. Although the plot matches up to that in several Bollywood flicks in this genre, the well-choreographed action sequences were the film's redeeming grace.
When it comes to the performances, Salman Khan does well in the violent, bloody fight scenes but fumbles in the more nuanced ones. On the other side, Pooja Hedge, who serves a little more than merely a prop, does fairly well in her screen time. As "Rowdy Anna," Daggubati Venkatesh holds the fort for the whole of his screen time, and when Khan's character is in the same frame, he nearly eats him up.” Click here to read the complete review
