New Delhi: If buzz is to be believed then Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 fame TV heartthrob Parth Samthaan has landed a plum role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, which stars Alia Bhatt in a lead role. Recently, it was reported that Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, starring Parth and Erica Fernandes is going off-air soon. And now this new piece of information making rounds on internet will surely leave Parth fans excited! According to a report based on an entertainment portal, the actor has bagged a big role in a film for which he decided to quit the show. The report of SpotboyE said, “Parth has signed his first Bollywood project opposite Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. Parth is extremely excited about his filmy debut with the big banner.” Though nothing has been revealed about the role Parth Samthaan will be portraying in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, this is definitely a very big break for the actor. Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt in the titular role, is based on Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai'. The story of the movie revolves around Gangubai Kothewali, a brothel owner and matriarch. The film will be high on drama and intensity and will narrate the tale of the eponymous character's journey from the streets of Mumbai to becoming the city's most dreaded woman. The ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ actor is also set to make his digital debut in ALTBalaji’s web series ‘Main Hero Boll Raha Hu’ where he will be portraying the character of Nawab.
