Karan Johar's Action Thriller 'Kill' Starring Lakshya To Premiere At Toronto International Film Festival

Karan Johar's 'Kill' stars Lakshya Lalwani in the lead and the action thriller will premiere at the Toronto International Film.

New Delhi: Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Kill’ is set to have its world debut at the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival. ‘Kill’ is one of 10 films selected for screening at the renowned event. The event will start on September 7 and run until September 17. The director confirmed the news in an Instagram post and unveiled the first poster from the next action thriller. The movie's star, Lakshya Lalwani, is seen in a dramatic appearance.

In the poster, actor Lakshya Lalwani can be seen holding a knife to his neck as blood pours down his face. Karan Johar, while sharing the film's official poster starring, wrote: "The journey begins at the Toronto International Film Festival!”.

He added, “'KILL' - an action-packed high octane film starring Lakshya - the next action hero to look out for. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the film will premier at Midnight Madness at TIFF 2023. Stay tuned, the official poster and teaser will be announced soon.”

TIFF has chosen Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's film as one of just 10 to show as part of the Midnight Madness programme. Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment collaborated to create this action film.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar is basking in the success of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, his most recent film. KJo returned to the director’s chair after ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Box office projections see RRKPK, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, crossing the 100-crore threshold by the weekend. 

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ was released in cinemas on July 28, 2023. It features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly and others.
