New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has re-ignited heated debates on topics like nepotism, favouritism and outsider vs insider in the Hindi film industry. Kangana Ranaut’s explosive interview with a leading news channel grabbed a lot of eyeballs as she openly spoke about the prevailing practice of nepotism in Bollywood and how ‘movie mafia’ ruined her chances of getting married and having financial security. She also said that 'needy outsiders' like Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker are likely to challenge her views.

Kangana’s team has strongly reacted to Javed Akhtar and his children Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar’s interview with a news channel, in which they talked about nepotism. The news channel aired a teaser on social media to promote the interview. It the 40-second promo, the veteran lyricist said that nepotism exists in every field.

Farhah, who will be next seen in ‘Toofan’, said that if someone is talented, he/she will ‘find a way to the surface’.

Kangana’s team reacted to the promo and accused Javed Akhtar of calling her to his house and threatening her. They also alleged that he bullied the ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ actress.

The ‘Queen’ actress’ sister Rangoli Chandel had earlier said in a tweet that Akhtar threatened her to say sorry to Hrithik Roshan.

“Dear Akhtars, #KanganaRanaut D/O AmarDeep Ranaut frm Manali evr asked you fr work or favour? Give everything u hv to ur children,hv u heard of live & let live?Why Bully someone’s daughter wen u love your own so much?Why did you call her to ur house& threaten her ? Pls ans this,” Kangana’s team tweeted.
