New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s explosive interview with a leading news channel created quite a stir on social media. Her comments didn’t go down with several tinsel town celebs including Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Anurag Kashyap. Kangana addressed Taapsee and Swara as ‘needy outsiders’ and said that they are likely to challenge her views on nepotism.

Director Anurag Kashyap strongly reacted to Kangana’s statement and said that they ‘used to be friends but he doesn’t know her now’. The duo worked together in the film ‘Queen’, which turned out to be a sleeper hit.

One of the Twitter users shared an old video in which Kangana defended Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ while talking to late Irrfan Khan. The ‘Manikarnika: Queen Of Jhansi’ actress referred Kashyap as her friend and talked about how everyone reacted after the film flopped at the box office.

“His intention was to make a sincere film,” Kangana said.

‘Bombay Velvet’, which starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, received scathing reviews from the critics and failed to rake in big moolah.

Anurag Kashyap responded to the video and said that Kangana ‘always stood by him’.

“Absolutely she did . She always stood by me . I am not her enemy . You all are . The people who are using her are,” the ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ director tweeted.

The 'Black Friday' director had earlier posted a tweet after watching Kangana's interview. He said that people around the 'Judgementall Hai Kya' actress are only using her. In a recent interview, Kashyap said that he tried to play the peacemaker between Kangana and Taapsee after Rangoli accused the 'Thappad' actress of not acknowledging Kangana while praising the trailer of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’.

Kangana's team responded to Anurag's tweet and called him 'Mini Mahesh Bhatt'.

The 'Gangster' actress' team also strongly reacted to Nagma's tweet in which she claimed that Kangana is also a product of nepotism.
