Kangana Ranaut Reveals BJP Offered Her Election Ticket After Manikarnika, Says 'Never Thought About Politics'

Kangana Ranaut said that she was offered election ticket after the release of her film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been quite vocal about the ‘unfair treatment’ of the outsiders in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise in the film industry. Kangana, who set several tongues wagging with her explosive interview, had accused ‘movie mafia’ of trying to sabotage Sushant’s career. She didn’t mince her words and openly spoke about the prevailing practice of nepotism. Some have even alleged that Kangana wants to enter the arena of politics and hence, she is supporting PM Narendra Modi. The ‘Queen’ actress, who is known for her power-packed performances, has revealed that the BJP offered her an election ticket after the release of ‘Manikarnika’. The Pahadi beauty made it clear that she is ‘obsessed with her work as an artist’ and has never thought about politics. In her tweet, she revealed that Congress also offered her election tickets. “This is to set the records straight for everyone who thinks I support Modi ji because I want to join politics,my grandfather has been congress MLA for consecutive 15 years,my family is so popular in politics back home that after Gangster almost every year I got offers from Congress,” Team Kangana Ranaut tweeted. Her team further wrote, “Fortunately after Manikarnika even BJP offered me a ticket, I am obsessed with my work as an artist and never thought about politics so all the trolling that I get for supporting who I want to support as independent thinker need to stop.”
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in ‘Thalaivi’. She is essaying the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa in the biographical film. The ‘Jugdementall Hai Kya’ actress also has ‘Tejas’ and ‘Dhaakad’ in her kitty. Stay tuned for more updates!
