Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Aamir Khan’s Daughter Ira’s Confession About Depression; Says ‘Difficult For Broken Families Children’

New Delhi: Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan recently opened up on her mental health revealing that she has been clinically depressed for more than 4 years now. She made a video on World Mental Health Day on Saturday (October 10) trying to bring people together and start a conversation on the need for awareness about mental health. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut reacted to this video and compared her life with Ira Khan. In one of her recent tweets, the ‘Thalaivi’ actress disclosed that she was facing physical assault at the age of 16 and was single-handedly taking care of her sister who was burnt with acid. Kangana further sheds light on the fact that she was also facing media wrath during that time. The ‘Queen’ star further went on to write that though there can be many reasons for depression, it is difficult for broken family’s kids and that the traditional family system is very important. The ‘Manikarnika’ actress’ tweet read, “At 16 I was facing physical assault, was single-handedly taking care of my sister who was burnt with acid and also facing media wrath, there can be many reasons for depression but it’s generally difficult for broken families children, the traditional family system is very important.” In the video shared by Ira Khan, she said, “Hi, I'm depressed. I have been for more than four years now. I've been to a doctor and I'm clinically depressed. I'm doing much better now. For over a year now, I wanted to do something for mental health, but I wasn't sure what to do. So, I have decided to take you on a journey, my journey, and see what happens. Hopefully, we will get to know ourselves better, understand mental illness better.” She continued, "Let's start from where I started. What do I have to be depressed about? Who am I to be depressed? I have everything, right?" On this note, she ends the video.
