Kangana Ranaut Offers Explanation On Dalai Lama-Joe Biden Post After Protest Outside Mumbai Office

A number of protesters reportedly gathered outside Kangana Ranaut's Mumbai office, the actress claimed.

New Delhi: A number of protesters reportedly gathered outside Kangana Ranaut's Mumbai office, the actress claimed on her Instagram page on Friday. She stated that this incident occurred after she posted about the Dalai Lama and US President Joe Biden.

The actor confirmed what she was up to and called her post a "harmless joke" after sharing a photo taken at the rally.

“A group of Buddhist people doing dharna outside my office in Pali Hill, I didn't mean to hurt anyone, it was a harmless joke about Biden being friends with Dalai Lama….please don't misunderstand my intentions,” Kangana wrote.

“I do believe in Buddha's teachings and his holiness 14th Dalai Lamba has spent his whole life in public service….I had nothing against anyone…don't stand in the harsh heat please go home,” she added.

On April 12, Kangana Ranaut posted a meme with the Dalai Lama and the quote,"The Dalai Lama receives a warm welcome at the White house".

In the tweet's picture, Joe Biden was photographed in front of Dalai Lama while he stuck out his tongue.

Sharing the post, the actor wrote, “Hmmm dono ko same bimari hai, definitely dono ki dosti ho sakti hai (The two have the same illness, they can be friends for sure).”

The Dalai Lama is seen in a recent viral video kissing a young kid on the lips. On the internet, there were conflicting opinions on the incident. The incident took place in February at a public event held at the Tsuglagkhang temple in Dharamsala. According to reports, the Dalai Lama extended his tongue and asked the kid to kiss him on the lips. The Dalai Lama is allegedly heard saying, "And suck my tongue." Boy leans in while sticking out his tongue. The Tibetan spiritual figure apologised after the video drew criticism.
