Kangana Ranaut On Turning Down ‘The Dirty Picture’: ‘Would Not Have Done It Better Than Vidya Balan’

Kangana Ranaut was also offered the role of the protagonist in the superhit movie ‘The Dirty Picture’. She, however, turned down the role.

New Delhi: One of the leading actresses of the Hindi film industry, Kangana Ranaut has completed 15 years in Bollywood. Starting her career with the 2006 film ‘Gangster’, the ‘Thalaivi’ actress has come a long way in establishing herself as one of the leading stars of the industry.

Kangana has starred in several successful films in her career. She has carried a number of films on her shoulder as a protagonist which proved to be massive successes. The ‘Dhakaad’ actress was also offered the role of the protagonist in the superhit movie ‘The Dirty Picture’. She, however, turned down the role and now in her recent interview with a leading daily, Kangana revealed how she feels about it.

Kangana Ranaut revealed that she regrets not seeing the potential in ‘The Dirty Picture’. She further said that she could not have done the role better than Vidya Balan. Kangana told TOI, “I think ‘The Dirty Picture’, just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don’t think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn’t see the potential in that film.”

The ’Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ actress also announced her debut on the digital platform as a producer with the movie ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’. She also revealed the logo of her production house - Manikarnika Films. She wrote while sharing, “Launching the logo of @ManikarnikaFP with the announcement of our debut in digital space with a quirky love story Tiku weds Sheru .... Need your blessings”.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut has ‘Thalaivi’, ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Tejas’ in her kitty.
