Vyjayanthi Movies, the production company behind Kalki 2898 AD, shared a behind-the-scenes video on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. In the video, Stojiljkovic shared his experiences working with the cast and highlighted his admiration for Deepika.

"Now I understand why they call her Queen," Stojiljkovic said. "She genuinely appreciated the shots I provided, especially the profile shots. We even joked about making an entire movie in profile someday. Her support and encouragement were priceless, and it really motivated me to achieve better results every time.”

Stojiljkovic also lauded Amitabh Bachchan's dedication to his craft and mentioned the vibrant energy Prabhas brought to the set, often lightening the mood with jokes. He expressed his enjoyment working with Prabhas and Disha Patani, even during challenging scenes, as their energy kept the momentum going.

Nag Ashwin lauds Deepika

Earlier, director Nag Ashwin also lauded Deepika's natural instinct for her character in 'Kalki,' stating, "She is the most important part of the story. We had a lot of discussions on it when we were writing as well. I think the simplest answer that we arrived at was whose character do you remove and the story does not exist? And that became Deepika's character. Because if you remove her character, there is no story. There is no Kalki.”

About Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD blends sci-fi elements with Indian mythology, following the story of Bhairava (Prabhas), a bounty hunter who encounters Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) and a pregnant lab subject named SU-M80 (Deepika Padukone). The film concludes with a cliffhanger, setting the stage for a sequel.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film has become the biggest grosser of 2024 with around Rs 600 crore collection at the domestic box office.
