Multi-starrer movie 'Kalank' with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Kunal Kemmu and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles has kick-started at the box-office with a bang! Poster of Kalank The movie that received mixed reviews from the critics and fans become the highest opener of 2019(so far) by collecting Rs. 21.60 crores beating Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's Kesari. Noted trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to twitter to share the first day collection of Kalank. With this, Kalank also becomes the highest opener of the lead pair Varun Dhawan or Alia Bhatt beating their respective movies, Judwaa 2 & Gully Boy. Interestingly, Kalank also turned out to be the highest opener of Alia-Varun jodi as their last outing, Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) collected Rs 12.25 crore on the first day of the release. Film's producer Karan Johar too, took to twitter to share the happy news with fans: ‘Kalank’ Review- First-class performances save film Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 80 crore. One of the most-awaited movie of this year, Kalank with an ensemble star cast hit the theatres yesterday (Wednesday, April 17, 2019).
