Jatt and Juliet box office collection day 1: The box office collection of 'Jatt and Juliet 3,' starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, has set a remarkable benchmark for the Punjabi film industry. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned ₹3.25 crore nett in India on its opening day, making it the second biggest Punjabi opener in India.
Directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the film was released on Thursday and has received positive reviews. As reported by Sacnilk, the film's net collection in India is ₹3.5 crore, with a worldwide collection of ₹8.15 crore. The overseas collection stands at ₹4 crore, while the India gross collection is ₹4.15 crore.
In India, the first-day earnings are the second highest ever for a Punjabi film, only behind 'Carry on Jatta 3,' which collected ₹5.20 crore on its opening day. 'Carry on Jatta 3,' featuring Gippy Grewal, was released on the Bakrid holiday last year. Despite competition from the mega-budget project 'Kalki 2898 AD,' 'Jatt and Juliet 3' is maintaining a strong performance at the box office.
'Jatt and Juliet 3,' a comedy caper, saw an overall Punjabi occupancy of 46.43 percent on its first day. In Chandigarh, the film achieved 55 percent occupancy across 173 shows. In the Delhi-NCR region, it had 355 shows with an occupancy rate of 31.75 percent. The film performed even better in Jalandhar and Ludhiana, with occupancy rates of over 66 percent for 53 and 101 shows, respectively.
About Jatt and Juliet 3
The film features Diljit Dosanjh as a police officer who falls for a fellow officer, played by Neeru Bajwa. The storyline introduces a twist with the entry of a new woman, promising a mix of romance and heartbreak alongside comedy. This is the third installment of the franchise, released after a 12-year gap, following the success of the first two films in 2012 and 2013.
In addition to Diljit and Neeru, the film stars Nasir Chinyoti, BN Sharma, Rana Ranbir, and Elena Skryabina in key roles. It is written by Jagdeep Sidhu.
