Honsla Rakh Box Office Collection Day 1: Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill's Film Starts On Solid Note

Diljit Dosanjh revealed that Honsla Rakh has registered the biggest opening for a Punjabi film.

Mumbai: Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Honsla Rakh’, which released on October 15, has started on a flying note at the box office. The romantic comedy has managed to receive rave reviews from the critics and audience. Diljit’s magic worked wonders for the film as it has registered a solid opening on Dusshera 2021. 

‘Honsla Rakh’ First Day Collection 

Dosanjh took to social media to thank his fans for showering the cast with love and support. He revealed that ‘Honsla Rakh’ collected Rs 5.05 crore on its opening day. The ‘Good Newwz’ star shared the first day box office collection of ‘Honsla Rakh’ on his Instagram and Twitter handles. He said that his new movie has shattered the opening day record of all Punjabi films.

"Shatters all Punjabi film opening records. Record shecod nana shadeya je. Ki Paye Karende Hon. Enjoy with your family folks,” he wrote.  

Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages and wishes. One user wrote, "Congratulations to the whole team..... So proud of you" while another commented, "Love u all but my favorite is shehnaaz gill."

'Honsla Rakh' Gets Highest Opening For Punjabi Film

The movie, which marked Diljit's debut as a producer, registered the biggest opening for any Punjabi film. Trade pundits were expecting 'Honsla Rakh' to set the cash registers jingling and the film did the same. 

Shehnaaz Gill’s fans were eagerly waiting for the film as the ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant played a key role in ‘Honsla Rakh’. After staying away from limelight for over a month, Gill promoted her movie with Diljit and other co-stars. 

Shehnaaz didn’t make any public appearance since Sidharth Shukla’s demise. The 'Balika Vadhu' actor passed away on September 2 after suffering a heart attack. Gill was said to be devastated following his untimely death. Her fans breathed a sigh of relief after she joined Diljit during the promotions.
