New Delhi: Holi is all about bright fluorescent powder colours, gatherings, food and  music and dancing. When it comes to dance and music, Bollywood will not let you down. Bollywood directors and lyricists have penned tunes about the festival of colours over the years.

In Holi, the triumph of good over evil is celebrated over two days. This year, Chhoti Holi falls on Thursday, March 17th, while Holi will be celebrated on March 18th.

This year's festival will be even more fun thanks to throwback music that will transport you to a bygone era. From Rang Barse to Balam Pichkari, we've crafted a Holi special playlist to get you in the mood for the festival.

Balam Pichkari ( Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani )

Balam Pichkari, a great Holi song from the 2013 blockbuster film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, features Ranbeer Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and ranks third on our list of the best Holi songs.

Vishal Dadlani and Shalmali Kholgade provided the vocals for Pritam's musical number.

Do Me A Favour Lets Play Holi ( Waqt )

The Holi song from the movie Waqt, starring Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, is one of the great songs to get in the mood.

Badri Ki Dulhania ( Badrinath Ki Dulhania )

The famous title track of Badrinath Ki Dulhania featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt comes at the end. The song is sung by Dev Negi, Neha Kakkar and Monali Thakur with lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed.
