New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayata Dutt have welcomed Ganpati Bappa with utmost dedication and excitement. Every year, the Dutt family celebrates the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi on a grand scale but this time, they are celebrating in the simplest way possible. Earlier this month, Sanjay Dutt was reportedly diagnosed with lung cancer. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani hospital on August 18 in Mumbai for his medical treatment. The ‘Kalank’ actor took to social media to share a picture of his Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 celebrations. Sanjay can be seen posing with his wife in front of their ‘Bappa’ idol in the photo. The ‘Khalnayak’ actor said that the celebrations might not be huge but their faith in Lord Ganesha remains the same. He hoped that Bappa blesses everyone with good health and happiness. "The celebrations aren't as huge as they used to be every year but the faith in Bappa remains the same. I wish that this auspicious festival removes all the obstacles from our lives and bless us all with health and happiness. Ganpati Bappa Moryaa," Sanjay captioned the post.

(Source- Instagram) Maanayata Dutt had released a statement in which she asked everyone to 'stop speculating about stage of Sanjay Dutt's illness'. She also gave an update about the 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' actor's preliminary treatment. The 42-year-old informed the fans that Sanjay's preliminary treatment would take place in Mumbai and the family would decide the further travel plans on the basis of the COVID-19 situation. Maanayata also said that she couldn't go the hospital to support her husband as she was under home-quarantine. For the uninitiated, Maanayata Dutt and her two kids Iqra and Shahraan returned from Dubai in a special flight after the 'Rocky' star was admitted to the hospital. "To all of Sanju’s fans and well wishers, I can’t begin to thank you for the love and warmth you have shown him all these years. Sanju has been through many ups and downs in his life, but what has kept him going through every tough phase has always been your adulation and support. And for this, we will always be grateful. We are now being tested through yet another challenge, and I know, the same love and warmth will see him through this time as well. As a family, we have decided to face this with positivity and grace. We are going to go about our life as normally as possible, with a smile, because this will be a tough fight and a long journey. And, we need to do this for Sanju, without any negativity setting in," Maanayata Dutt said in a statement. On the professional front, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in 'Sadak 2'.
