Actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who is currently busy with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Toofan', is in a steady relationship with 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 8' and 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5' contestant Shibani Dandekar.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor & filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who was last seen in Shonali Bose's 'The Sky Is Pink' opposite Priyanka Chopra, is in a steady relationship with actress-model Shibani Dandekar who was also seen as a contestant in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 8' and 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5'. While Farhan is currently busy with his next film 'Toofan', latest buzz suggests that he is all set to marry Shibani this year. While Farhan-Shibani are yet to react on the same, the 'Don' helmer's father Javed Akhtar has shared his views on the same in a recent interview.

"I have just heard it from you. I was with Farhan on his birthday, which was the day before yesterday. He didn't tell me anything about this. But you never know, children can be very secretive," Javed Akhtar told TOI.

The buzz around Farhan and Shibani's wedding started doing the rounds a while back after Mumbai Mirror reported that the couple is finalising a wedding date, and would probably settle down after the release of Farhan's upcoming film 'Toofan' which is set to hit the theatres on October 2 this year. Whereas, the report also stated that, Farhan-Shibani might also surprise everyone by tying the knot before the film's release. Featuring 'Super 30' fame Mrunal Thakur alongside Farhan, 'Toofan' is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

For the uninitiated, Farhan was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani in 2000, with whom he has two daughters, Shakya and Akira. After 16 years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in 2016. They have now moved on and are happy with their partners.
