ED Summons Nora Fatehi & Jacqueline Fernandez In Money Laundering Case
Nora Fatehi has been summoned by the ED in connection with a money laundering case.
New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has again summoned actress-dancer Nora Fatehi for questioning in connection with a money laundering case. The case pertains to an FIR, which was filed by Delhi Police in connection with an exortion racket run by scamster Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is lodged in Tihar Jail.
Nora will be questioned in connection with an investigation related to money laundering case against Chandrasekhar. She arrived at ED's office in Delhi at around 11am on Thursday (October 14) after receiving a summon from the central probe agency.
Jacqueline Fernandez To Appear Before ED On THIS Date
The ED has also summoned Jacqueline Fernandez, who had recorded her statement with the officials under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act in August 2021. Jacqeline has been summoned to appear before the ED officials on Friday (October 15), according to ANI.
"Actor Jacqueline Fernandez to join the investigation in connection with the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. She will appear before Enforcement Directorate in Delhi, tomorrow: Sources," a tweet on ANI's official Twitter handle read
The two Bollywood stars are being summoned again as witnesses for further investigation in the case.
Who Is Sukesh Chandrasekhar?
According to a report in IANS, Chandrasekhar has 15 FIRs filed against him. The 27-year-old has been accused of duping people in Chennai and Bengaluru of several crores in order to live a lavish lifestyle.
The ED had 'seized' a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai and several luxury cars in connection with the money laundering case, which is registered against him. Chandrasekhar is also accused of running an exortion racket from inside Delhi's Tihar Jail.
Chandrasekhar, who posed a politician's relative, reportedly duped over 100 people. He bought luxurious cars from his exorted money.
He claimed that he was the son of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and even posed as nephew of late Andhra Chief Minister Y.S.R. Reddy.
Sukesh had taken Rs 20 lakh from Emmanuel Silks after promising to bring Katrina Kaif for a promotional event in Kochi. However, he brought Allu Arjun for the showroom's inauguration in Kerala's Kottayam, as per a report in IANS.
