New Delhi: Deepika Padukone introduced the 'Naatu Naatu' performance at the Oscars during the 95th Academy Awards. She looked stunning in a sophisticated black Louis Vuitton gown and won praise for her speech during the ceremony.
Despite the fact that the star hardly needs an introduction, Deepika was wrongly identified as Brazilian beauty Camila Alves by Getty Images and later by Vogue.
Internet users highlighted the gaffe by sharing a screenshot of Getty Images' careless post where Deepika Padukone was mistaken for Camila Alves. In addition to Getty, AFP and Vogue also committed the same error, which was eventually found by social media users.
Recently, a Twitter user shared a post criticising Getty and other media outlets for misrepresenting an Indian movie star as Mathew McConaughey's wife, Camila Alves.

Many more furious Twitter users joined in to voice their disapproval of this misidentification, which wasn't the first time it had occurred either.
When Deepika Padukone visited Los Angeles in 2017, the paparazzi referred to her as 'Priyanka Chopra'. Brazilian model Camila does not resemble Deepika Padukone in any way.

Meanwhile, Deepika gave the 'RRR' song the appropriate introduction.
