The NCB officials grilled Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash for around six hours on Friday. During the interrogation, Prakash claimed that the ‘Chhapaak’ actress has never consumed drugs in her life as she is very health conscious.
According to NCB sources, Karisma will be confronted with Deepika on Saturday. The federal agency has called Prakash again for interrogation tomorrow.
The ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress returned to Mumbai from Goa on Thursday (September 24) in a charter plane. She was accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh, who reportedly flew to Goa from Bengaluru.
Some reports suggested that Ranveer has requested the NCB to allow him to join Deepika during the investigation, citing her anxiety and panic attacks. However, a NCB source has squashed all the rumours, which circulated like wildfire on the internet.
Earlier in the day, the NCB officials also questioned Rakul Preet Singh and Dharma Productions executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad. The agency reportedly seized drugs from Prasad’s place in Mumbai.
Rakul, who was last seen in ‘Shimla Mirchi’, also denied consuming or procuring any narcotics substance. Although, the ‘De De Pyaar De’ actress said that she didn’t have any contact with the drug peddlers, she confessed to the NCB about her ‘drug chats’ with Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
