#IndiaFightsCorona: Vicky Kaushal To Donate Rs 1 Crore To PM-CARES Fund & Maharashtra CM Relief Fund

Vicky Kaushal became the latest Bollywood star to donate to the government relief fund in the fight against Coronavirus.

New Delhi: The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has badly affected all the countries of the world including India. To combat the deadly COVID-19, PM Narendra Modi announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown. He also announced the creation of Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) and urged the citizens to contribute and support the cause. Several Bollywood celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma have pledged their support. Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’, took to social media to announce that he will donate Rs 1 crore to the government relief fund. The ‘Raazi’ actor has extended support by contributing Rs 1 crore to the PM CARES Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He tweeted, “I pledge to do my bit. We're in this together and we'll win this together. Till then, stay safe guys. #IndiaFightsCorona.”
On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal will be next seen in 'Sardar Udham Singh'. The film, directed by Shootjit Sircar, will hit the silver screens on January 15, 2021.
